Introduction to Base Models

Base models are at the heart of Donovan's AI-powered capabilities, driving the platform's ability to understand and analyze documents and power decision recommendations. These models form the foundation upon which the chat interface and dataset interactions are built, enabling users to ask questions, receive insights, and extract valuable information seamlessly. Per request, the Scale team can provide what models we can support in your environments, or if you have a Donovan account, you can view our Models page in-product to view what models are available to you. When you are chatting, you are able to choose the best base model for your needs within the "Models" tab when you're in chat mode.

See descriptions, parameters, languages, alignments, and context windows for all models available in Donovan. Click "Switch to this model" to toggle the model for a particular chat thread.
